Hidden Gem is located in Noordhoek high up the slopes of the Silvermine Nature Reserve in the vicinity of San Michelle. Nestling in a cul de sac and bordering a green belt, the house offers privacy and a quite ambience. Hidden Gem boasts amazing views of famous Noordhoek Longbeach, the longest stretch of pure white sand in the whole Peninsula, the village and the surrounding mountains.
Cape Point Vineyards, our local wine estate and one of the finest wineries in the entire Cape lies on the same slopes just about a kilometer further towards Chapman’s Peak. Here you can picnic, have a wine tasting, feast at the weekly food market or enjoy the wine and food in the restaurant.
Noordhoeks village center, the vibrant Noordhoek Farm Village with its four restaurants (including the famous Foodbarn), numerous curio shops, a coffee roastery, an ice cream shop and a raw juice bar is a short drive away down the slope into the village.
On your way to Noordhoek Beach you’ll encounter another commercial district with several shops, wine tasting with delicious tapas style food, an Italian restaurant and our local micro brewery Aegir with lots of food options as well. Another restaurant at Monkey Valley Resort is well known for its great views of the beach, while The Jakes overlooks the Noordhoek Common.
The two major shopping malls 'Longbeach Mall and Sun Valley Mall' and Virgin Active, a modern fitness center are less than 10 minutes away.
Noordhoek - known as the green heart of the Cape Peninsula - has a delightful village atmosphere. The ambience is tranquil and serene, with plenty of wide open spaces, unspoiled beaches and breathtaking scenery. Despite its country atmosphere, Noordhoek has a lot to offer, including restaurants, horse-riding, whale watching, hiking trails, surfing, bird-watching and an art route. In the immediate vicinity of Noordhoek are four golf courses and some of the main attractions of the Cape like Chapman's Peak Drive (one of the most scenic coastal drives in the world), the penguins of Simonstown, Cape of Good Hope, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens or the oldest wineries in South Africa.
The main attractions of the Cape like the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, Constantia Winelands are all within a few minutes drive.
